Lee Marshall, the founder of the foundation, is one of the 2010 Energizer Keep Going® Hall of Fame finalists. The voting goes on until August 20th and you can vote once a day. The winning person gets $15,000 and it will all go to the Foundation. I bookmarked the website in my favorites so I would remember to do it everyday.
Also, for all you Facebookers, the foundation is up for another award that you can vote through Facebook. It is Chase Community Giving. You can find info. by going to Lee's Facebook page or by searching on 'Chase Community Giving' (that is probably the easiest way). This one ends July 12th and you can vote once a day. The top 200 charities get $25,000 - how awesome is that!!
The Kids to Love Foundation is so special to us. It is one of the things I miss most about Huntsville. Brad and I loved to volunteer, especially at Christmas time when they had their Christmas for the Kids. Imagine how many Christmas gifts you could buy with $40,000! Or the scholarships they could provide. Or the school supplies they could provide to the entire state of Alabama. This is an amazing organization and they deserve to win both of these awards!
